Computer Science and Cybersecurity Welcome Week
During Loyola University Chicago’s Welcome Week, incoming students connected through cybersecurity and computer science events. “Food and Network” introduced campus opportunities and student organizations.
Two key events welcomed incoming students during Loyola University Chicago's Welcome Week. On Aug. 27, the cybersecurity program hosted "Food and Network," a community-building event for students interested in cybersecurity from a variety of academic backgrounds. Attendees had the opportunity to meet fellow students and learn about cybersecurity opportunities on campus. This included a partnership with the Department of Computer Science, the Loyola Center for Cybersecurity, and Loyola's student clubs, including Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS) and the 7968 Cybersecurity Club.
The following day, the Department of Computer Science welcomed its newest graduate students during a fall orientation event. Incoming students met faculty, learned about departmental resources, and connected with their peers as they begin their graduate studies at Loyola.
Together, these events help new students feel at home within Loyola.
