We’re proud to celebrate the exceptional undergraduate research presented by students from the Computer Science & Statistics community at USRE 2026 at Loyola University Chicago.
- Ayaan Khan and Nonye Muoneme, under the mentorship of Yasin Silva, presented work on cyberbullying severity detection, with a focus on methods that help identify and better understand harmful online behavior.
- Ali El Dahshan and Dominic Cappuccilli, supervised by Neil Klingensmith, presented research on autonomous vehicle communications, with work that supports advances in connected transportation systems.
- Under the guidance of Eric Chan-Tin, Ellie Martin presented work on deepfake generation and detection, while Isabella Alongi shared research focused on experiential cybersecurity education, with new approaches that strengthen student preparation in security practice.
- Lorena Saba, supervised by Daniel Henriques Moreira, presented work on eye-tracking-based image annotation for computer vision, with research that supports more accurate machine learning systems and visual data analysis.
