CS faculty member Konstantin Läufer named a Top Finalist for the 2021 Alice B. Hayes Award for Advising and Mentoring.
CS faculty member Konstantin Läufer has been named a Top Finalist for the 2021 Alice B. Hayes Award for Advising and Mentoring, which recognizes faculty who demonstrate a commitment to advising and mentoring students within and outside the classroom.
A fourth-generation educator, Konstantin joined Loyola University Chicago almost 30 years ago. His personal mission as an advisor and mentor is to empower students from all backgrounds to be the most successful they can be. To this end, he strives to synthesize actionable advice based on active and empathetic listening. Konstantin feels deeply honored to have been nominated for the award by an anonymous undergraduate student.
