Loyola Cybersecurity Competition

Loyola Cybersecurity Competition

On February 8, 2025, the Loyola Center for Cybersecurity, in partnership with the Department of Computer Science, the 7968 cybersecurity competitions club, and the Loyola WiCyS student chapter, hosted the first ever in-person Loyola cybersecurity competition. Over 50 students signed up to participate in this whole day competition. A big shout out to Dan Harkness and the CyberFire team for hosting the puzzles!

The event ran from 10:30am to 5:30pm with closing remarks and final scoreboard after the end of the competition.

A mix of undergraduate and graduate students created teams on-site. The participating students came from all backgrounds and levels, from first year to senior undergraduate students and MS graduate students. Two alumni also participated, although they were not allowed to compete on the scoreboard.
